Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the data protection provisions of the Swiss Confederation (Data Protection Act, DPA), every person has the right to protection of their privacy and to protection against misuse of their personal data. We comply with these provisions. In principle, we only collect personal data if it is necessary for the provision of the specific service. Personal data is treated as strictly confidential. Your data will not be passed on unless we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. request by an investigating authority) or entitled to do so (e.g. within the framework of commissioned data processing) or unless you have expressly consented to the passing on of your data to third parties. Data is passed on to third parties in particular if this is necessary for the fulfilment or processing of the contract. Third parties are of course also obliged to protect your data and to use it only for the precisely specified purpose. Furthermore, they are obliged to treat the data in accordance with this data protection declaration and the applicable legal situation. We process personal data for the period of time required for the respective purpose or purposes. In the case of longer retention periods due to legal and other obligations to which we are subject, we adapt the processing accordingly.
The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data whenever you visit our website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.
We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
Right to information, deletion, correction and storage of data
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data. We would like to point out that we reserve the right to demand proof of identity in this case as well and that in the event of deletion of your data, it will not be possible to use our services or not to the full extent. In this regard, as well as for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint.
Persons about whom we process personal data have a right of appeal to a competent supervisory authority for data protection. The supervisory authority for data protection in Switzerland is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data concerning you for one or more specific purposes at any time if the processing is based on your express consent. An informal communication by e-mail to us is sufficient for this purpose. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
Please note that legal retention periods apply to certain data. This data must be stored by us until the expiry of the period. If you have requested their deletion, we will block these data in our system and use them exclusively for the fulfilment of legal obligations.
Amendment of this privacy policy
We reserve the right to adapt the data protection declaration to new circumstances from time to time. Corresponding changes apply with effect for the time after the changes have been posted. Consequently, we recommend that you consult this data protection declaration regularly.

In close cooperation with our hosting providers, we make every effort to protect the databases as well as possible from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or forgery.

Facebook pixel, custom audiences and Facebook conversion
Within our online offer, the so-called “Facebook pixel” of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are resident in the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”), is used due to our legitimate interests in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer and for these purposes. Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active). With the help of the Facebook pixel, it is possible for Facebook to determine the visitors of our online offer as a target group for the display of ads (so-called “Facebook ads”). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to display the Facebook ads placed by us only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called “custom audiences”). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interest of users and are not annoying. With the help of the Facebook pixel, we can also track the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called “conversion”).
The processing of data by Facebook takes place within the framework of Facebook’s data usage policy. Accordingly, general information on the display of Facebook ads can be found in Facebook’s data usage policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy. Specific information and details about the Facebook pixel and how it works can be found in the Facebook help section: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.
You can object to the collection by the Facebook pixel and use of your data to display Facebook ads. To set which types of ads are displayed to you within Facebook, you can go to the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions on the settings for usage-based advertising: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads. The settings are platform-independent, i.e. they are adopted for all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices. You can also object to the use of cookies for reach measurement and advertising purposes via the deactivation page of the network advertising initiative (https://optout.networkadvertising.org/) and additionally the US website (https://www.aboutads.info/choices) or the European website (https://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/).
Google Maps
We use Google Maps for embedding maps. Google Maps is a mapping service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, USA. By using Google Maps, information about your use of this website, including your IP address, may be transmitted to Google. If you call up a web page on our website that contains Google Maps, your browser establishes a direct connection with Google’s servers. The map content is transmitted by Google directly to your browser, and integrated into the website by the browser. We therefore have no influence on the scope of the data collected by Google in this way.
If you do not want Google to collect, process or use data about you via our website, you can deactivate JavaScript in your browser settings. In this case, however, you will not be able to use the map display.
The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Google, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found in Google’s data protection information: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
YouTube
We use YouTube for embedding videos. The operator is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. If you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. This tells Youtube which pages you are visiting. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behaviour to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your Youtube account first.
If a Youtube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behaviour. Those who have deactivated the saving of cookies for the Google Ad programme will also not have to deal with such cookies while viewing Youtube videos. However, Youtube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.
You can find more information on data protection at Youtube in the provider’s data protection declaration at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
